Ok folks, I had some time to kill and somebody recommended that I look up “Geroge Ka Pakistan” on YouTube. So, I did and I found it to be very entertaining and providing wonderful glimpse into every day life in Pakistan. I wish this show was dubbed in English or subtitled in English so people could have their Western friends view this.
Its a pretty amazing show that humanizes Pakistan and Pakistanis in light of a ver y negative political world climate.

George thinks that Mirpur has better/bigger buildings than Lahore or Karachi! I didn't know there were so many foreign Pakistanis in Mirpur. Wow!

England is full of mirpuri's, many of whom have returned to Pakistan and settled in mirpur where they invested their money. In other cases its girls and guys who have gone back to marry cousins back home etc. In one of the episodes where George goes to Mirpur u even see the union jack displayed with shop names, items sold there are from England too, some even with their pound and penny prices stil stuck on them.
