Deceased grandparents names on the invites?

Is that weird?

My Dada Abbu and Nani Amma died when my parents where young. My Dadi Amma and Nana Abbu dies when I was little. I know it will mean A LOT to my parents if their names are on the invitations, they haven’t mentioned it, but not a day goes by that my grandparents aren’t mentioned in this house.
I also feel like I know them, after hearing about stories about them every single day ever since I can remember.

Is it wierd? If no, the how would one go about wording the invitation?

I apologise for all the wedding related posts, but I really was a +4th person input/ideas/views.

Re: Deceased grandparents names on the invites?

Where would you put them. RSVP?

Re: Deceased grandparents names on the invites?

Somewhere between "In the name of Allah the most gracious, the ever merciful" and "Kindly RSVP: ...." ? I'm clueless.

Don't put their names under invitation, but next to your name, like we like to invite you to the wedding of Fatima, grand daughter of Abdullah and Amina.

Re: Deceased grandparents names on the invites?

Just as TLK mentioned, you can add it under your name:

(Your name)
Grandaughter of the late (dada & dadi) and late (nana & nani).

and you may or may not choose to do the same for your fiance's side.....
