Re: Dec. 10: Malala going to recieve Nobel Peace prize
Here is something about her operation for the doubters

“How could Malala survive with a bullet to her head, it’s all drama, no one could survive that.”
(A) Meet Gabrielle Giffords, a former US congresswoman from Arizona. In 2011 Ms Giffords was shot in the head by an assassin as she addressed a public meeting in Tucson, Arizona. Ms Giffords survived after a surgical procedure similar to the one Malala underwent. Ms Giffords met Malala in Nov 2013, and it was Ms Giffords who wrote a tribute to Malala for Time Magazine, describing her as a person of uncommon courage.
(B) Doctors performed Craniectomy on them (Malala and Giffords) like you cut open the skull cap Malala got it replaced by a Titanium cap (guess it was a commuted fracture or break) and a cochlear transplant too.
That’s how Ms. Gafford looked during post op care.
(C) Its how bullet crossed Ms. Gabrielle’s brain she had a bullet that went through occipital to frontal lobe i.e. from back of head till the front she was put into coma, sedated and put on ventilator till her brain could heal up to certain extent.
(D) The skull of Phineas Gage its kind of like a mile stone case as doctors used to consider brain an amorphous mass, till he got his frontal lobe injured (rail road accident, a bar passed through his brain) he survived, recovered in couple of months without any surgery and lived a normal life, though he psychologically changed a lot.
(E) This is a neurological deficit known as facial palsy. Notice how her face droops on the right side, one eye appears bigger than the other and there is no fold between the cheek and mouth. This happens as a result of damage to the facial nerve and cannot be “faked”.
Damage to the left sided nerve produces weakness of the Right sided muscles. This is why you can see weakness on the right side of her face even though she was shot on the left.
(F) In Malala’s case only Parietal lobes was damaged.
To haters of Malala
I pray that you get better soon of your sickness of hate.
