Debating the hijab

Re: Debating the Hijab

see that depend on a person’s own beliefs and values. In my family, im the only one who does hijaab, not my mom nor my sis and they never forced upon me either, its just a decision that I made according to what i learned and understood about it.

Me and my fren used to work at a same jewish place. Funny thing, I was hijaban but my fren wasn’t. I was asked so many times that how come she is not even though she is muslim and I am. The only answer i was able to give is that even though it is obligatory, even though in hadith it has been mentioned that it is mandatory to cover urself up out in a world BUT some people do it and some people don’t. Its kind a analogous to how ppl made changes in bible, took verses out that they didn’t like and left some in there that suited them.

One thing for sure, hijab can’t be forced onto someone. Person need to understand and accept it from heart in that way you gain respect for what are you doing.

May Allah (s.w.t) guide all the muslim ummah to right path, ameen
