[quote]
A prominent Mumbai gynaecologist, Dr Prashant Mangeshikar, was trapped in the Taj Mahal hotel along with hundreds of other guests as gunmen stormed into the building, firing indiscriminately.
Terrified, he and others barricaded themselves into a room and waited.
Eventually, in the early hours of the morning, police officers made it through to where they were hiding and told people it was safe to leave the hotel because the gunmen were cornered on another floor.
Some went ahead but Dr Mangeshikar held back.
"I was a little suspicious that the police were actually sending these guys down a different route where the terrorists were supposed to be," he told the BBC's Adam Mynott.
"I refused to move away and the people who ran ahead of me, about 20 or 30 of them, all of them died."

Re: Deaths from Mumbai 'police error'

Was this the POLICE or the highly trained, #1 in the world, Indian Commandos?

Re: Deaths from Mumbai 'police error'

THey were Highly Trained No 1 Indian Commandos in the world!......... No wonder Why!

*ISI told them to mislead people. *

December 21, 2008 : Mumbai: Investigation is underway to find the link between those police officers and defamed ISI of Pakistan. One of the police officer was found to be wearing the same kind of underwear as most of ISI officers and Pakistani wear. When asked for details, it was not immediately available but a spokesman from Indian investigation team stated on the condition of anonymity that the alleged man was indeed wearing an underwear with two holes to insert two legs just the way ISI officers do. Moreover the underwear was white in color. The label on the underwear is not readable and its not because of multiple washings but the researchers say it might have been deliberately tampered with. It is believed that this was the same person who might be leading the group of policemen involved.

More information is to be revealed. As a reminder, Mumbai city hotels were brutally attacked by suspected people from Pakistan and ISI of Pakistan has been incriminated by most authentic and never been caught lying investigation team and officials from peaceful and friendly to its neighbor countries India.

(Please do not ask for a link)

It was the Mumbai police, and an investigation is already underway into their conduct and role in this incident.
