Re: Death of PPPP: Babar Sattar
If a person like Rauf Klasra who was staunch PPP supporter openly claims that top PPP leaders met at the end of their tenure and Zardari asked if everyone had made enough money since elections were approaching and one said he didn’t, Zardari gave him some kind of ministry so he could make some money as well.
PPP can blame everyone including establishment all they want but there is a reason why they are dying as a political party, as much as i enjoy this as their opponent, it is definitely sad as PPP was the only national party having representation in all provinces. They won’t regain ANYTHING till this Zardari disappears. One can hope Bilawal will throw his dad out and kick out all these greedy leeches.
Re: Death of PPPP: Babar Sattar
Not a healthy sign, but without performing this was as far as the party could go. In the past there used to be a marked difference in the policies of pmln (right) and PPP (left), even these lines have blurred over the years.
Re: Death of PPPP: Babar Sattar
Zardari’s disgusting speech today has further pushed the party away from the masses. Good. Military dictatorship and Shahadat have always worked as oxygen for PPP, take both those factors away, PPP is nothing but a fish out of water (as it currently is at the moment) It has nothing to offer - absolutely nothing. If anything it has reduced down to the status of rural MQM. Apart from playing the Sindh ethnic card, I fail to see how this party can remain relevant in Pakistan? What else do they have to offer apart from pulling ethnic card for same old emotional blackmail?
I support the idea of more and more new political parties emerging than see any kind of life getting back to PPP. Let PPP be the learning lesson and the ultimate warning for all parties.
