Re: DEATH, DEADLY THAN DEADLIEST
Today when you hear about civilians dying in Iraq, Palestine and other war stricken countries, all you hear is the numbers, I feel that this has made people so accustomed to hearing about death that in actual fact it has made all these deaths sound meaningless.
I think the use of these figures in the media has made it all less shocking to hear, and to a certain extent faceless. For example saying 10 civilians died is not as moving as describing a mother who lost a small child in a bomb blast. The real facts. God forbid, but hearing about 15 dying here and 20 people dying there has made this act of killing the norm.
Unless we gain truth an understanding of what's happening around us we are less likely to raise concern or interest.
