September 11, 1948. The day when father of our nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah left us.
Today, the nation is observing 64th death anniversary of our Founder.
We salute you and defend what you stood for.
This man of great integrity and principles worked tirelessly to achieve an independent homeland for his people.
It is with great disappointment and deep sadness, I have to say that we failed Jinnah. We failed to live by Jinnah words.
The Pakistan he envisioned is lost somewhere…
we are the nation builders, Let’s not wait for a Messiah to come and fix our issues, whatever we have to do, we have to do it ourselves,
only 180 million awaam could bring back Pakistan where we all want to see, if not for ourselves, we have to do this for the sake of future generations.
if only every Pakistani makes a pledge, that they will do whatever they can in their own capacity to work for the betterment of our country
I have full faith, that we Pakistanis can bounce back, we will not see overnight changes, but from 10 years down to road.
we can proudly say. This is Jinnah Pakistan.
On this sad day, I would like to share few of his quotations.
"Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students who have always been in the forefront in the hour of trial and need.
You are the nation’s leaders of tomorrow, You should realize the magnitude of your responsibility and be ready to bear it."
"No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you. We are victims of evil customs. It is a crime against humanity that our women are shut up as prisoners."
"I have lived as plain Mr. Jinnah and I hope to die as plain Mr. Jinnah. I am very much averse to any title or honours and I will be more than than happy if there was no prefix to my name."
"We are now all Pakistanis--not Baluchis, Pathans, Sindhis, Bengalis, Punjabis and so on--and as Pakistanis we must feet behave and act, and we should be proud to be known as Pakistanis and nothing else"
"Work honestly and sincerely and be faithful and loyal to the Pakistan Government. I can assure you that there is nothing greater in this world than your own conscience and, when you appear before God, you can say that you performed your duty with the highest sense of integrity, honesty and with loyalty and faithfulness"
"Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three." (Prof. Stanley Wolpert, Jinnah of Pakistan (1984).
*
*"Mr Jinnah, was great as a lawyer, once great as a Congressman, great as a leader of Muslims, great as a world politician and diplomat, and greatest of all as a man of action, By Mr. Jinnah's passing away, the world has lost one of the greatest statesmen and Pakistan its life-giver, philosopher and guide." (Surat Chandra Bose,My Brother(1987),biography by Fatima Jinnah.)
*
*' Jinnah is Incorruptible and Brave' (Gandhi - Interview with Louis Fischer)
"There is no man or woman living who imputes anything against his honour or his honesty. He was the most upright person that I know, but throughout it all, he never, as far as I know, for one moment, attempted to deceive any body, as to what he was aiming at or as to the means he attempted to adopt to get it. "(Sir Patrick Spen, the last Chief Justice of undivided India)"
This man of great integrity and principles worked tirelessly to achieve an independent homeland for his people.
It is with great disappointment and deep sadness, I have to say that we failed Jinnah. We failed to live by Jinnah words.
The Pakistan he envisioned is lost somewhere.....
First we failed we failed him when he was alive (very sick, day he died etc.), that was beginning of failures.
Is this for Real , though I know for sure , thing were not exactly cordial between Jinnah and Liaqat post 47 , from Shareefud din Peerzada’s Memoirs to MR Kazmi’s book to his Doctors account … to the Resignation of Liaqat Ali Khan on 27 Dec 47 to Jinnah for reprimading Ra’ana Liaqat Ali … to leaving him Stranded on Drig Road to die in the stinking Rail Block on Drigh Road …
but this goes far to ahead

**I still believe Quaid-e-Azam was murdered: Altaf Hussain**
By Web Desk - Sep 11th, 2012 (1 Comment) 2 http://www.thenewstribe.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Altaf-Husain.jpgKarachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain has said that he still believes Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was murdered as establishment didn’t like him.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with the Quaid’s 64th anniversary through telephone, the MQM supremo said that Mr Jinnah belonged to Shia thought of school but he was a liberal and secular man. Hussain said that the Quaid didn’t believe in sectrianism. He said that he had decided to disclose truth. “I knew facts about the Quaid’s sect but didn’t feel the need to discuss as he was liberal and secular man,” Altaf Hussain added. Hussain said that he could not keep mum following the killings of people after being identified through identity cards. He said that treason case might be registered against him after his speech but he could not be hypocrite on the occasion of Jinnah’s anniversary. The MQM chief said that those who were beheading others should not forget that same could be done with themselves.
First we failed we failed him when he was alive (very sick, day he died etc.), that was beginning of failures.
true, we failed him before his death. had he been taken to the hospital on time, perhaps he would have lived longer. Pakistan needed him more than anything else, his presence and guidance was very crucial for Pakistan future. I honestly think we didnt deserve a man like him. we are the most ungrateful qoum on this earth, we are a sleeping nation, we get what we deserve. tabhi humare qismat men Sharif/Zardaris hen.
