So when putting on makeup, which feature of your face do you try to beautify the most… I know some girls take tonns of time on the eyes … some on the lips … carefully making sure the liners fall in place … what about you ?
I will share mine, I know if I do my blusher right , it will make me look alot more fresher … so really I give it proper time when i am about to put on my blusher
I know for most people its their eyes .. coz they are the major feature … but what happens if you try bringing the focus to a different feature .. say you have always done eyes as the major feature … what will happen if you give main attention to your lips or the cheeks? … how will it affect your look?
it would definitely make a difference..if i emphasize more on my cheeks n lips like for example wearing a bright blush n high lighter on cheek bones n bright lips then i wont wear anything on my eyes except for liner
Ever since I got married , I have been trying out different looks .. and realized that using a different feature each time , as a focus , creates such a different look perhaps you guys must explore that as welll … try to focus on different blushing styles for a change … or different lip styles and build the rest of the makeup around it … I know you willdefinitely be pleased
arent you meant to enhance only ure best features and minimize the not so great ones?
mine has to be my eyes and lips. both get the same amount of time spent on them... the nose is nto my strongest of features and gets the same amount of time trying to downplay the sharpness of it :D
i'm abit of a plain jane, only because i don't have sisters ....... and i don't know how to use make up properly ( or atleast i think i don't!) i use mineral make up and mascara daily which the mineral make up looks SO natural even i forget i'm wearing it!! ( also does not come off when we hug or anything!)
my fiance is always saying i look beautiful as i am ( even if i'm sick , have spots or have hairy eyebrows!) .. makes me lazy about learning how to apply make up....
HOWEVER
for any family weddings etc... i always get my hair styled + cousins do my make up OR hire a make up artist for weddings :)
@uzzie Well saying that you have no sisters is not really a reason (no offence please)
I don't have sisters,only to brothers.
I learned it all myself,it takes time to learn properly
I'd advice you to just...try and play around with colors.Thats what I did =)
I prefer to focus on my eyes....I dun like blush so I just use a minimal amount
And for my lips i think a nice colored gloss is enough^^
choco i really do think when you have sisters its so much better! like when i'm with my cousins i do the hair curling, they all are good at one thing!!
I'm not taking it offensively but i do think that is my reason :(
Actually I agree with Uzziee, sometimes being with sisters or cousins really helps one groom better .. I learnt so much about personal grooming when I lived in boarding .. roommates taught me so much .. similarly , because I had interest in self grooming , my younger sister picked it up from me … although i must say the interest was already there
@** khawateen**: Yes I agree as per the rules we must highlight the features that are beautiful … but then that would always make us look the same .. never different … thats where highlighting the second best feature , or creating an overall beautiful look helps tonns more …
@ HNK: well … I use two difference brushes … one is a thick one , the other is angled brush. Some days I use the thick brush for that on the cheek blush look… like right on the apples of the cheek blush .. other days , I use the angled brush to create a fine line on the cheekbone .. to give a slick model look… and some days I just use the angled brush to apply blush towards the further end of the cheek , nearing the ear and slightly letting it fall towards my cheek .. it just reduces the chubbiness of the face
So yeah there are tonns of new things you can do with your makeup … try them out …
