What a guy!. This is the first time I am listening to him and for me he tops Tony Greg and Geoffrey Boycott by a mile. He is so funny and sarcastic. I just love his Aussie humor. He seems fearless and outspoken in his comments. Gives lots of credit where it’s due but gives a reality check when the player slacks off.

The way he praised Wasim Akram’s career and his competitiveness over the years was very heartening. He said he loves the guy because he puts in so much for the sport even with 500 wickets behind him. And at the same time he mentioned Inzi sleeping in the slips.
There are many more comments he made in other matches. I would like to know if you remember any.
Dean Jones is one of the best One Day batsmen ever. I dont like him as a commentator though, He is the Australian version of Ravi Shastri or Amir Sohail.
When it comes to commentary, I dont think he can ever top Tony greig or Boycott.
He is such a ‘Bin Pendi Ka Lota’. I remember during last world cup he was criticizing Australian team for their poor performance during the entire world cup, but when Aussie won the world cup he wrote a column apologizing Steve Waugh and said the following :-
"…If any of the young Pakistanis want to learn anything about cricket, then they should have a very close look at the Australians’ performance* right through the World Cup**…" *
Yeah he's been a breath of fresh air. He was going on and on about Pakistan needing Shahid Afridi in the side to have any chance in the World Cup. Maybe that's the case, but not as an opening batsman.
