Don't they use the same technique in haram shareef? They use it to cool the floor, so people performing tawaf can do it comfortably even during summer months.

heated sidewalks in downtown core is there...especially roads under which subway trains run.

privately though, the cost of heating the drive way could be staggering.

there is nothing like hiring a snow removal company to do it for you.
