So , supposing your manager is a very accomplished guy but has a really difficult personality. He gets angered easily and can be extremely hard to please. He can be pretty loud too and you feel always at pressure in your job. You dont wanna change the job , rather you want to improve your working relationship with the manager.

I have observed that these kind of bosses usually don't stick around for a long time themselves. So just wait it out.
While you do that, be polite and try to work with the person as well as you can. Don't try to change him/her as that will cause a backlash. And just have Sabr.
so basically accept and keep doing what ever they say , is the best policy ..
But I am not satisfied with that response, my mind is constantly asking me for a solution, there has to be a way where its possible for me to keep my professional strength infront of my manager, rather then becoming a dummy … how to win their trust in such a way that they open the doors of communication which may lead to them mellowing down a bit?
PS: cant just hope for them to go away , coz sometimes individuals might have extremely difficult personalities while dealing with their team under their umbrella .. but maybe considered an asset for the firm ..
