Deadly waves strike cruise ship

**Two people have been killed and six injured as giant waves slammed into a cruise ship in the Mediterranean, Greek and Spanish officials say.**The 26ft (8m) high waves hit the Cypriot-owned Louis Majesty near the French port of Marseille.

A spokesman for Louis Cruise Lines said three “abnormally high” waves broke windows in the front of the ship.

The Louis Majesty was sailing from Barcelona to Genoa but has now turned back to Marseille.

The victims have been identified as a German and an Italian man.

The ship was carrying 1,350 passengers and 580 crew.
