A day after the riots, several Christian leaders including Bishop Akram Gill, the Bishop of Pakistan (of the Evangelical Christian community) and Dr Nazir Bhatti, the president of the Christians National Congress, had accused Malik Riaz of the PML-N (who was elected MNA from NA-118 Lahore) of leading an anti-Christian rally in Joseph Colony along with hundreds of the PNL-N and SSP workers.

According to them, it was on the evening of March 8 (a day before the attack) that the participants of the rally threatened the Christian residents of the area to vacate their houses in 24 hours or face their wrath. Before leaving the locality, the demonstrators put up banners against the Christians, saying, ‘The punishment of blasphemy is nothing less that beheading’. The Christian leaders alleged that the whole episode was masterminded by the PML-N leader to grab the valued land the Christians had their houses on.

...and those masajids would be from people of other sects, imam bargah's, military controlled and where they wanted to target their enemies (tribal lashkars et al)...all those who dont fall into their definition of Muslims..therefore no difference between those attacks and these.

The kind of anger we are seeing against PMLN from the local Christian community is quite telling. But it's a shame no amount of protest or anger can ever be - never - an eye opener for a party like PMLN.

It's quite pathetic how the Prime Minister found the time to congratulate their candidate for winning by-election in Nankana yesterday, but he could not show solidarity to the victims of yesterday's blast. A highly desensitised corrupt to the criminal buffoon.

So much for the dramebaazi of good governance and the CM Punjab personally controlling the city of Lahore like his beloved mistress, why no PMLN leader or the CM himself visited the victims yesterday?

To send the ultimate message that we don't care and we are just as bad the killers who had killed your loved ones - they appoint Rana Sanaullah head some bloody committee. One more thing, it may satisfy those who were jumping that why Punjab is not attacked by terrorists..

This is 2nd blast in Lahore, although techincally Yohna-Baad is not in Lahore, but in the sub-urbs of Lahore.

Earlier they attacked Civil Lines area but couldn't manage to get in so the bomber exploded at the gate, now they have selected this church and again they couldn't enter otherwise it would have much more tragic.

The thing is, terrorists are out there among us, and it is hard to suspect all 180 million and put a body guard to them. People need to wake up and by waking up it doesn't mean that they block roads, call dharnas and what not to cause more agitation.. waking up means, be aware of you neighborhood...

The way we have seen the reaction, it says that terrorists have won, they manage to achieve what they wanted, Chaos...
