**At least 30 people have been killed in a suspected bomb blast near a market in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials say.**More than 100 people have also been injured, a regional minister said.
Officials and witnesses said that a vehicle laden with explosives had been detonated and destroyed near Peshawar’s Khyber Bazaar.
Friday’s explosion was the latest in a series of recent bombings across north-western Pakistan.
“We don’t know if it was a remote controlled bomb or whether a suicide bomber was involved,” said North West Frontier Province information minister Iftikhar Hussain.
“It will be some time before we can ascertain that.”
Police official Muhammad Khan told the Associated Press news agency that one of the vehicles damaged in the explosion was a bus.
TV footage showed some other cars and motorbikes had also been destroyed.
“I can see the burnt vehicle and people are removing the dead from it,” a witness told Reuters news agency.
“I have myself counted five bodies.”
