my (personal) take on these things is, get more ram than faster ram .. (of course its win win to get MORE, FASTER ram, but then money factor kicks in).

^yeah Ram itself isnt expensive, just a bit expensiver then DDR2 but a good DDR3 supporting motherboard costs more :D thats why i got DDR2
besides my processor isnt gonna utilize the DDR3 ram like an i5 or i7 would :)

^ If you are upgrading your RAM then try to get KIT as they have better timing than those you use separate from different makes.
