Hey girlies, many of you must have had daytime photo shoots Its the trend nowadays and i love the pictures that are taken in the sunlight. My question is when do you girls get ready? The makeup and then does it stay till the event? And what time did your photographers usually ask you for a photoshoot if you wanted one in the sunlight.
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
I'm not married but a friend did get married last year and what she did was get ready in the afternoon. Make sure you get your MUA to use long-wearing makeup with other things like face primer and setting spray - all of which helps with the makeup looking fresh all day. Since the wedding didn't start till like 8 pm (typical desis lol), they took pictures early evening-ish since the sun is out longer in the summer. They got some shots before sunset which looked gorgeous.
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
My cousin is getting married in winters and the sun fades away around 6ish in karachi. So i am thinking she would have to get ready by 5 and the wedding starts at around 9. Don't know how she'll manage to have the makeup looking fresh after 4 hours of applying it. But i guess she needs to have the MUA work something out for her as you mentioned :-). Thank you for the help bella...:-)
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
has anyone from this forum done a photoshoot outside i.e. in a public place such as "Badshahi Mosque"?
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
MUA's don't use makeup that easily fades or comes off. i mean, its caked on and a good MUA will cake it on a way that doesn't seem like its caked on. don't worry about it not staying fresh. she can always carry the lipstick with her to refresh but i had my pictures done at 3:30 in the afternoon for a wedding that started at 5:30 and went till 6am the next day and i didn't even have to refresh my lipstick! so don't worry about it. it'll last. i mean, its meant to withstand all that rukhsati crying and if makeup can come through with no damage after that, posing for picture a few hours earlier certainly isn't going to mess with it!
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
wow that long, that's a relief. Thank you for letting us know. This really helps.
Btw 5:30 to 6:00 am the next day?? that ought to be a crazy fun filled wedding i am sure :-)
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
^Yup, I agree! I was done getting ready around 4:30pm and we had our photoshoot until 6pm. It was a nice sunny day in June (thankfully not hot enough to make us sweat!) - we made our reception entrance around 7:30pm and partied on until later in the night.. everything stayed intact!
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
4:00pm to 6:00pm the best time for outdoor photoshoot in summers..
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
^True. But Isb has blazing heat, no wind etc like in KHI so 4:30 might be a bit cooler considering sunset goes upto half past 7.
P.S: I've done full day coverage of brides, from their getting ready to rukhsati late at night and make up usually doesnt "come off". They usually have a lippy with them to refresh before going on stage & some use powder but thats about it.
Re: Daytime/Evening Wedding photoshoot
Thank you guys. My cousin was so nervous she was calling off the entire idea. The problem with winters is, the sun fades away somewhere between 6 to 6:30 and weddings here don't start before 9. So the makeup needs to be done by 4:30 to 5 max.
