Re: Days after Marriage!!
traditionally in rural settings back home, it’s ONLY a few days of VIP treatment after which there is a little ceremony called ‘chammach chulaaii’ [touching of the spoon] and that means a welcome to the life in Kitchen. bride, in her sasuraal, gets into the kitchen on the fourth day of the wedding and prepares her FIRST dish which is usually a dessert like feereenii and after that ceremony she is no more considered a ‘sacred cow’ when it come to doing the chores. on the fifth day, FILS, MILS, BILS start ordering her to do this and to do that.
Lol, I knew the rism, but never knew this NEW NAME.. we call it.. kheer banwaai
Exactly. I wont call them worst but there are a lot of compromises and understanding involved initially. It takes almost an year to know the other person, his/her likes and dislikes, priorities etc. Then you become easygoing with one another. Though there is a charm in the initial jhijjhak, chessiness waghaira but i dont know, i think now i am more happy and enjoying because i can say whatever i like to him and be completely myself. Initially we both were trying to adjust and know each other and with time we realized that what is that will make my other half angry or happy and then you kind of adapt. But ofcourse everyone is different.
but doesn’t it depend on the kind of marriage, I mean, arrange marriage and love marriage, like you need to know or understand the person only when you don’t know him, and if thats the love marriage.. then?? I mean to ask, do the “good or bad days” right after the marriage depend on the kind of marriage??
LOL
