Many of you around the world have experienced when Countries move their clock forward by one hour in spring to get more daylight in the evening times, and move it back one hour in fall to readjust the time.
I fail to see the advantage of this exercise. Yes maybe 100 years ago when it started, there was an advantage, but now, its nothing but a nuisance. People who work on hourly wages lose one hour worth of pay, if they are working in graveyard shift during spring time. Plus its such a stress, especially on school going young kids to adjust their body clock when we lose one hour. Lots of people reach work late on Monday because they forgot to adjust their clocks.
We have it. It's not a nuisance at all. You don't even realise something has changed. If we didn't move our clocks back an hour during fall, we'd be going to work in pitch black hours of the morning. This also poses a safety concern for kids. You don't "lose" an hour though.... if you were working 8 hours a day in Spring, you'd be working 8 hours a day in Fall too...

I guess you never worked on night shift at a gas station during the night when they move the clock forward. Your shift is 7 hours shift and you lose precious $7.50 that night :(
Yeah I don't know how that works. I was referring to this bit - Plus its such a stress, especially on school going young kids to adjust their body clock when we lose one hour. - In my view, it's not disruptive at all, let alone stressful.
I am asking for personal opinion whether you think the reasons are still valid or not.
Personally, I like the extra daylight in the summer, but it's not something I am vehemently for or against. I hate the disruption it causes so I don't think it's necessary.

Ok, I meant my kids. They are such a lazy bum :D
