I doubt sites serve specific cities. I am looking for sites that serve US broadly.

angie’s list has daycares, but i dont know anyone who has used it, it isnt free.

actually i think the opposite is true- there would be city specific sites, like for eg, there are toronto specific review sites, not ontario specific review sites. the geographical area would be huge otherwise. in any case, have you googled?

I've googled but haven't found sites that seem to be reliable/has lots of traffic. Angie's list might be a good idea.

This is what I did.
Googled daycares in the area I wanted to (either close to home or work or in between)
Then I searched reviews for those specific places.

I also visited the places after shortlisting. Do not completely rely on reviews. What I like can be totally different from what you will prefer. Also each class has a different teacher so I may have experience with a very good teacher but your child may end up in a different class with a differnet teacher.

Earlier when my son was going to a daycare in another city, I could not find any reviews for that daycare but it seemed ideal to me because of the location. So I went and met with the teacher. I could not have been more happier or satisfied.

Yelp is also helpful sometimes.
