Day Off

Its a beautiful Friday afternoon. Absolutely gorgeous. I’m writing an essay instead of frolicking on the beach. WHY?

Khair.

If you had a day off - what would you do? Or imagine its a Saturday, and you have no obligations to anything or anyone whatsoever - what do you do?

I think I would wake up really late - eat brunch while watching ARY/GEO - then hit the beach. Or MAYBE I would get up really early and drive down to the Keys (of Florida). Or MAYBE I would take a drive out to Naples - their beach is heavenly. I’ll never forget those white sands and blue waters.

If I had a plane I’d fly it over to Puerto Rico and chill out in the rainforest for a bit. But then I think that would require more than one day.

Hmm…oh the list of things to do.

Re: Day Off

Beach sounds so wonderful!! It has been a year since I've been to the beach - Florida here I come :D

Re: Day Off

DONT go to South Florida’s beaches - i.e. Miami’s beaches - the cuban population has just grown and its so nasty going in the water with those people…with the urinating in the oceans and all.

:disgust:

Go to naples beach on the west coast - its so heavenly!

Re: Day Off

^ I usually head to Destin since it is about 4 hrs away. I have heard not so good things about the miami beaches

Nice  how far from Orlando is Naples?

Re: Day Off

Oh Gosh, dunno - um maybe like 2 hours max!

Re: Day Off

How about Fort Lauderdale? How far?

Re: Day Off

As for my day off, a secluded beach sounds lovely or a drive along a coastline in a convertible with someone else driving ofcourse. Hmmm... I should be in California.

Re: Day Off

ok so that’s about a 10 hr drive for me…will have to make a long wknd trip then.
