Day of surprises

Re: Day of surprises

FOr the sake of 40.000+ arrested and house arrested?! Is that nothng to cry about? Where are the US freedom fighter when they are actually needed. Two wrongs dont make a right. Martial Law kills democracy you know that best and is no way to justify any operations in NWFP.

I'm not denying US foreign policy is hypocritical when someone says US has a strict anti-dicatorship policy. They are acting in what they believe are best national interests. Now whether they actually are in best interests is also debatable.

They are acting what is best for their sake, like any other politician. Maybe there are few exceptions, but majority is interested in what favour them.

Re: Day of surprises

I agree, it's something to cry about. If it were my country I would be up in arms, trust me. I'm not opening threads criticizing dictators, only responding. If you want to brag on Mushie like you are on Chavez, I will have something to say there as well. Although I think Mushie is not the uncultured pig or liar that Chavez is. Nor is he pushing them down the path of economic catasrophe.

Yes, that is what they do. #1 for themselves, #2 for US national interest and #3 for spread of democracy.

Re: Day of surprises

Seminole, you should have a better look at Mushys fake expression when he addresses the nation. I will not say he hasn't done anything good for the country, but treating your own nation like criminals can't be justified by any of his good deeds.
The economy is booming (rather was), there are some specific reason like privatisation and merely to foreign company. He is selling the country to foreigners, making money no doubts. But such strategies are only effective on shorter run.

There was some nice thread regarding this very matter at PA. Have a look! Let the search function be your friend for once :)

Re: Day of surprises

I didn't know my search habits or history were public view or that the end-all knowledge of Musharraf's economic policies can be found on gupshup.

I'm not here to praise Musharraf or defend his economic policies or even compare him to Chavez. But whatever he's doing it's not the crazy socialist crap Chavez is trying to pull off.

Re: Day of surprises

Chavez, has more to promote. Trust me. Let us agree on one thing. Yet again you are one of many victims of US propaganda machinery. There is no conspiracy behind this.

Re: Day of surprises

^ I really have no idea what that post means outside of the accustation of buying into propaganda. I assure you my views comes from reading unbiased articles and reports.

Re: Day of surprises

How has musharraf creeped into Venezuela? :hehe:

Btw, if Chavez feels paranoid then there is reason for him since **amreeka **has supported coup attempts against him. In fact, the US has had a very negative role in Latin America when it comes to democracy and human rights since it has behaved as a thug with actions ranging from supporting dictators to outright invasions.

Re: Day of surprises

A typical Seminole answer.
@Shrek:
People are made to believe Chavez is a dictator, so I had to prove Seminole what freedom actually a western backed dictator can enjoy. One needs the support of US of A and you become Hero from Zero.

Re: Day of surprises

I am not gonna go too off topic but I think Musharraf is in a tight spot since he hasn't delivered enough: hand over AQ khan, don't talk / work on or about the IRI pipeline.

Re: Day of surprises

I think Seminole is the one who said

So you didn't prove to me anything. I'm afraid your posts weren't that revealing or enlightening.

Re: Day of surprises

I gave you an example. Isn't that proof enough?!
Nevermind, we don't need to see the world from the same perspective. There are many different views and yours surely differ from mine.
Long live Chavez!
