Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

Honestly I am shocked this is happening. I would have never expected Egypt of all the countries to fall or get this close to it. I am hearing from my friends in Jordan that thousands are out on the street there as well. This does not bode well for US policy in the Middle East at all. If this indeed leads to a domino effect, well maybe for the first time in decades the Muslim people will have a very slim chance to live in a democratic and free environment. I certainly hope it will because it will have a huge impact on militancy and terrorism in the long run.

May Allah bless us with the ability to be governed as our people wish and not have to deal idiots that are beholden to other countries.

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

ppl are saying fox news is reporting clashes are between "Islamic extremists" and the government. Is this true?

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

Nope. Al Jazeera has nothing like that on their live telecast. They are the only ones live from Cairo and Alexandria.

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

I wish the domino effect continue to other Arab countries including Iran ... in the meantime hopefully political parties of Pakistan will sit together in reality, in the long run Pakistan can have benefit from the toppling of Arab regimes. It will definitely have impact on extremism and will move towards democratic reforms in the region, which is badly needed. If everything went perfect the Middle east will see decades of prosperity and growth.

Ameen!

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

Americans, Israelis and their native enablers are $h!tt!ng bricks now...Ikhwan will be in power in Egypt...

Expect massive payments from America/Israel to Egyptian generals to take over and stifle any reforms/movement towards democracy...

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

You don't provide vents to a pressure cooker, it eventually it blows up. A transition into a democracy that embraces peace for the region and human rights is a welcome change. The people of Egypt want jobs and a better livelihood, not war and extremism. What is to fear from that? Those who try to take advantage of the situation and push an agenda of extremism and unrest in the region will be opposed certainly not only by the U.S. but by Egyptians themselves.

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

same as before so-called Islamist's are having wet dreams, the great thing about these riots which are started from Tunisia is their demands. The people want democracy, rule of law, jobs, safety & prosperity ....NOT be-headings, suicide attacks, cutting of hands/foots & blowing up girls schools .

All the young population is on the street, and they don't want so-called Shariaah. Tunisia example is their to see.

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

Speaker of Egyptian Parliament due to make an announcement soon. Lets see how it unfolds.

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

There are unconfirmed reports of Mubarak having left the country. Something that no egyptian was expecting by Thursday when i was discussing it with my egyption colleagues.

In the end what matters is if army withdraws its support or not.

Re: "Day of Revolution" in Egypt

US government set to review massive aid payments to Egypt, so basically get the 'sheeple' back in line or your all going to starve.
I pray the demostrations continue.
