Absolutely. I hope this announcement allows negotiations to take place on how the country is run before elections take place. While dragging a dictator out of his palace is a great symbolic display I don’t think in this case helps the country or the stability of the region and would leave a dangerous power void. The protesters are the ones who have forced open this door and now those representing the protesters can step through it and complete the transition of power in a peaceful manner or, as they did before, the opposition can rejected talks and go on with the protest. Time for a serious look at the risk/reward of each action.
