I voted for the middle of century reason being, every prophet Ummah’s was given ONE day to practice religion and get their act straight by Allah s.w.t. One day of Allah is equal to 1000 Years. In our case as muslims, Prophet Mohammad :saw: requested Allah s.w.t to give Us( muslims ) a litle longer. Being the deareset Prophet Mohammad :saw:, Allah s.w.t, gave Prophets:saw: Ummah one and a half day. Todays Hijri date is “Ramazan 03, 1424 A.H.”. Calculation is simple

It's only known to Allah but it seems probable after 2-3 centuries and before 5-6 centuries.
We are living in the later days ...
I never heard of it before Salman. Can you quote or mention the source?
The exact date , the Almighty only knows, however, considering most of the small signs (mentioned in various hadith) of doomsday have now come to pass.
This is only speculation to say within the latter part of this millenium. may the Almighty bestow his mercy on us all.

well our imam one day did some calculations during the khutba one day and he said we still have about 500 years to go 
but again, only Allah knows the best.
Besides consulting scholars, if we also engage ourselves learning Quran, we will find tens of references to the fact that IT IS ONLY KNOWN to ALLAH .. However, Rasoolulah :saw: gave news of the events near Qiyamah… Almost all minor events can be witnessed these days.. Instead of going into the details of what those minor or major signs of Qiyamah are, let me share a hadith here 
Narrated Abu Huraira:razi::
While the Prophet:saw: was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him,
“When would the Hour (Doomsday) take place?”
Allah’s Apostle continued his talk, so some people said that Allah’s Apostle had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Alllah’s Apostle had not heard it. When the Prophet:saw: finished his speech, he said,
“Where is the questioner, who enquired about the Hour (Doomsday)?”
The Bedouin said,
“I am here, O Allah’s Apostle .”
Then the Prophet:saw: said,
“When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday).”
The Bedouin said,
“How will that be lost?”
The Prophet said,
“When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)”

First of all, thanks to Samarra for posting the poll and thanks for everyone for contributing their opinions.
ramyssysIX: The overwhelming majority has expressed their faith that we humans are not capable of knowing and understanding everything, and so we cannot really predict what course events will take. I respect this choice, and I agree that the exact date is known only to God (Allah).
However, I have voted for the first option, i.e., "within 10 years". As I see it, the world is in a state where this assumption may not be wrong. The media doesn't cover such news, so many people are unaware of some of the observations and predictions made by environmental and developmental studies. Some of the points are:
* We are expected to face a shortage of Food, Water and Oil by the middle of the century.
* Animal and plant species are becoming extinct at the fastest rate ever recorded in history.
* Industrial methods of fishing have contributed to a 90% decline in fish populations in the recent decades.
* And of course, the world's forest cover, is shrinking fast as more and more trees are felled to feed more and more humans.
Sorry, I don't have links right now. I will try to search later and post the same.
I have a lot of thoughts to share about this topic, including about the geo-political scene, the earthquakes and solar flares etc., the world economy, the character of the people in power, and so on. We can have a good discusion here.

*They ask thee of the (destined) Hour, when will it come to port.
Say: Knowledge thereof is with my Lord only.
He alone will manifest it at its proper time.
It is heavy in the heavens and the earth. It cometh not to you save unawares.
They question thee as if thou couldst be well informed thereof.
Say: Knowledge thereof is with Allah only, but most of mankind know not. *

a simple clarification: anybody giving out a guess (other than Allah swt knows best) is simply trying to use the ahadith which give out indications of pre-doomsday conditions of society and extrapolate based on those ahadith as nobody has no clue of what exact date/century it would be.

thats a good point
.........we cant say about qayyam,ah but we can guess when imam mehdi will arrive.....in my opinion it will be in next 10 years AT MOST........

I was going to ask who Imam Mehdi is. but I guess I can do a Google search ...
Another question though: Are any of the earlier prophets (excluding Isa) supposed to return during the end days?
InShaAllah. And Hazrat Isa :as: will return as a Muslim, i.e. a follower of Hazrat Muhammad’s :saw: shariah. He :as: will defeat dajjal (Antichrist) and then there will be Muslim rule all over the world, InShaAllah.
All of the above, of course, is referenced from Ahadith.
i voted for end of the century becoz i think that there is going to be quite some time, until all of the signs of the HOUR happen. this is just speculation, because Allah (SWT) knows best.
But, i cant see it happening yet. Correct me if i’m wrong, but there is still time for the DAJJAL, YAGOG and MAGOG (is that rite?) and also for Isa :as: to come on this earth and for every1 to surrender to Islam…
Also, near the HOUR there will be no believers present to witness the terrifying event, i dnt know if this is rite so does any1 have any hadith/ ayat?
Therefore, i think that the world is going to fall into more chaos and lawlessness before the HOUR… but this is just my opinion…
Anyway, I also believe that Allah (SWT) knows the date, we can only speculate and guess…
aren’t all prophets Muslim by default…?
