Re: Day after Wedding
i got married in the peak of a horribly hot Lahori summer, so the next day, in the afternoon, i wore a nicely tailored lawn suit when i went home (ofcourse i got a hard time from the family elders, but i justified that i did not want to be sweating in my kaam walay joray). thankfully, everyone at home was relaxed. we spent the day with everyone at home, had a mid-afternoon bday party for one of my fave khalas, then later, got all decked up for a huge family dinner we were all doing out together.
this probably belongs in the bad designers experience wala thread, but i should mention that we would have gone home earlier in the day had HSY not screwed up my bari order (they had delayed my outfits by over a month-- even though i ordered them well in advance-- so their rep was supposed to drop them off at the hotel. i waited for over two hours, could not say goodbye to two khalas who were leaving in the morning and she was a no-show).
