Just saw this movie yesterday…the movie is a remake of George Romero’s classic cannibal-zombie flick (itself a sequel to Night of the Living Dead) is bright, sleek and sharp, as well as properly scary and funny at times.
Movie is full of blood-spewing, neck-gnawing, head-exploding action into suspenseful entertainment. Usually, excessive blood flow just deadens the senses.
Most of the movie takes place in a shopping mall where a small band of survivors hold out against an army of undead. for an hour and a half we watch this loony crowd, both living and dead, being stabbed, shot, skewered, bitten, run over and blown sky-high, after a plague of zombies mysteriously overruns Milwaukee (re-created in Toronto). Both the movie and the epidemic strike with unnerving speed.
The movie was alright i guess. It was better than 28 days later. had more zombies iinnit.. however the best ever zombie flick was .. hmm i forgot the name .. u know that game in which we kill zombies ..oh never mind… newayz if u like blood and kiling ppl .. must watch this movie …
I would rate it as the best movie ever. It had everything. Like almost a million people killed. Zombies, naked ladies, babies, lesbians.. I mean what more can you ask for huh ?
Liked it...saw it when it came out in theaters months ago. Typical zombie flick (well...except I didn't quite like the 'fast-moving' zombies). In my book, zombies should be slow to react and very spooky! But all in all, it wasn't bad.
It was a good remake, but it can't touch the original Romero classic. It's one of the best zombie movies out there. This remake doesn't follow the story line of the original version either, but I suppose they have to modernize it somehow. I love the cameo appearances by Tom Savini, and the black guy from the original as well. It was filmed in the Eaton Center by the way.
Speaking of Romero, he's supposed to be releasing the 4th movie in the series, tentatively called "Twilight of the Dead", but not official. Looking forward to it.
