Sure, filmmaker David O. Russell freed up some time when he left ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,’ but he’s wasted no time finding not one, but a number of other projects to fill the void. Now Russell is cooking up an R-rated drama for New Line, but this is no ordinary to-do. Focused on a plainclothes detective, this new project will try to bring back Harry Callahan’s gruff type of crime-fighting persona to a new generation. Not Detective Callahan himself, but rather a new detective played by Russell’s ‘Three Kings’ star Ice Cube.
