anyone rebember the Lahoree guy who kidnapped, raped killed and then threw young boys into vats of acid and poured it down the gutter? The judge sentenced him to the same fate. Jay Leno used it for a joke in the monologue, it made me sick. Ever sice, the jokes dont seem as funny cause i keep wondering if how much they have twisted the events to make it funny.
The best thing about letterman is his parody done by Norm on SNL, letterman himself has become very annoying.
The best talk show for me is Space Ghost coast to coast, Jon Stewart comes next.
Maani yaar I specifically remember that show where the guy from Lahore was mentioned but the joke wasnt about the rapes or the murders. Jay related the verdict of the judge where the judge quoted that the murderer should be stoned in public and then the pieces of his body should be disolved in acid.
Jay related this to Death penalties in Texas and he said as they would call it in texas a tap on the hand!
I think that joke wasnt offensive. I mean Leno says much more offensives things than that!

Yup, thats exactly why I thought it was low. He conveniently did not mention why the judge issued such a kooky sentence, without mentioning the crime it just made pakistanis seem like barbarians. I like dark and risque comedy, but this was just going for cheap laughs.
