David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

To start afresh he 1st needs to apologized for his remarks in India.

Btw, what is Rabbni’s pic? Seems like someone kicked him in knees or something & he is limping behind Cameron.

Mr Cameron, who made those controversial comments on a trip to India in July 2010, will meet Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad, seeking to improve co-operation on counter-terrorism operations and Afghanistan.

“Let’s make today a ‘fresh start’ in our relationship,” Mr Cameron will say in a speech, according to extracts released by his office. “It is time for a new step in relations between Britain and Pakistan, and between Britons and Pakistanis.”

“Let’s clear up the misunderstandings of the past, work through the tensions of the present and look together to the opportunities of the future.”

The British government has justified its involvement in the war in Afghanistan by saying the majority of terrorist plots uncovered in Britain have their roots in the lawless Afghan-Pakistan border region.

U.S. ally Pakistan is seen as key to any negotiations to end the decade-long war in Afghanistan because of its influence over the Taliban.

Mr Cameron said in Bangalore last July that "we cannot tolerate in any sense the idea that this country (Pakistan) is allowed to look both ways and is able, in any way, to promote the export of terror, whether to India or whether to Afghanistan or anywhere else in the world."

Mr Cameron and Mr Zardari attempted to smooth over the row that followed when the Pakistani leader visited London in August. Britain is home to a sizeable minority of people of Pakistani origin.
“I acknowledge that there are challenges that our friendship must overcome,” Mr Cameron will say on Tuesday, calling the relationship with Pakistan “unbreakable”.
“Whether it’s relations with India, our security or questions of governance, if we work closely with one another, if we’re clear that we need each other to succeed, we can grasp these difficult issues and move beyond them to a better future.”

Re: David Cameron calls for ‘fresh start’ with Pakistan

Multi-faced retards, all of them! :zobo:

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Its true, Pakistan should not look both ways against terrorism, Pakistan should cut the roots of terrorism sponsored by "foreign" elements.

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Chineese PM, SA's King or US president, yes........ these shah-sai-barh-ker-shah-ka-wafar-daars, no

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Not likely until PM himself want to receive. Normally it's only the designated protocol minister, which looks like Raza Rabani for this clown.

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Misunderstandings? Oh pulllllllllllllllllllllllease. Who does he think he is fooling?

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Pakistan should try to seal a deal to arm tridents by 2020, with Pakistani nuclear warheads. "Call me Dave" himself said recently, you don't expect every country to make all arms it needs for it's security. Besides, considering the austerity measures Condems are taking, this would be much cheaper option for UK. :D

Cameron attacks Pakistan’s weak governance

David Cameron has made a sternly worded attack on the Pakistan government’s performance, complaining that Islamabad lacks capacity, is responsible for too much waste, collects too little tax, and needs to tackle corruption.

The remarks came during Mr Cameron’s first, and controversially brief, visit to Pakistan as Prime Minister. He was expected to spend at least two days in Islamabad, but reduced his visit to a mere 12 hours after a visit to Afghanistan.

“Too many of your richest people are getting away without paying much tax at all – and that’s not fair,” Mr Cameron told students in the capital. “Not fair on you, ordinary Pakistanis who suffer at the sharpest end of this weak governance. But neither is it fair on British taxpayers, who are contributing to Pakistan’s future.”

Pakistan is poised to become the biggest recipient of British aid in coming years.

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

has anything that he said been incorrect? I mean hey, I know it hurts when someone points your or your loved ones weaknesses or errors, but is what he said untrue? both for the militant groups (LET aka jamaat al dawa etc) or about the tax cheats? You may not like the messenger or the delivery but is the message wrong?

Re: David Cameron calls for ‘fresh start’ with Pakistan

he is bigger trouble than Tony Blair so Pakistan should be careful about him because he can cause us lot of troubles also he wants to increase Military Coperation with Indian so British Economy can improves

Re: David Cameron calls for ‘fresh start’ with Pakistan

Agreed :lifey:

Re: David Cameron calls for ‘fresh start’ with Pakistan

He needs to say something new, not something everyone already knows, you know :chai:

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

Whats new in pakistan? Raymond davis, but oh yes he isn't british...

Re: David Cameron calls for 'fresh start' with Pakistan

He also said Britain is responsible for many historic problems such as Kashmir conflict, so why is Britain still creating more problems for the world such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Libya etc.

Re: David Cameron calls for ‘fresh start’ with Pakistan

That is a bit hypocritical since his political party receives funds from donors who are non-UK domicile. Those donors live in foreign countries to avoid paying high tax.

I wish Cameron would stop wasting British tax payers money on keeping the Government afloat.

Re: David Cameron calls for ‘fresh start’ with Pakistan

Its not what someone says, what hurts is how they say it and with what intent.

You talk to any physiatrist/pediatrician they will say kids out to misbehave more if you try to teach them a lesson in front of other people. If you take them to the corner and convey your message, they are more likely to behave. :chai:
