David Blunkett resigned this evening after Sir Alan Budd, the former civil servant appointed to investigate allegations that he intervened in the visa application of the nanny of his former lover, informed him that he had discovered an exchange of emails between his office and that of the Immigration Service.
I just hope the replacement muppet ... err .. Home Secretary (though is there any such thing as a Labour Minister who is not a muppet? ) will actually have a sense of justice and stop holding people indefinately without trial!!!
I mean, we live in the UK, not the USA - this is supposed to be a civilised country!

Ha! UK and US were civilized until these uncouth madmen from Middle East showed up. They took advantage of the local welfare system, and ended up destroying the society.
Neechan (arban) di ashnaai kolon faiz kisay nai paya
Kicker tay Angoor charahya, tay her gucha zakhmaya
(Criminals always destroy their host country)
Civil liberties are as fragile as the delicate wines of grape. They don't have chance when the unkempt bearded cactus from Arrabob deserts shows up with death and destruction.
If the UK and US societies have been torn by the bearded madmen, then how can they justify policing the world and fighting a cause in the name of freedom?
You said it Mr Blunkett, not us.
The blind lead the blind!
PS. Ever considered running for the BNP, cuz you sure ain't a Pakistani with such warped, prejudicial and racist views. And if you, God forbid are a Pakistani, then you are the most dangerous type. The enemy within.

What an innocent question!
Well that's what one expects from someone with elementary school knowledge of Maths and Logic.
Funny how folks with pathetically low IQ level can so quickly declare anyone "dangerous" and question his patriotism. Just like those Mullahtic idiotics, who declare people as "Kafir" at the drop of hat (demagh choos Ghotra).
I'd be more concerned with trying to save face and reputation, whats left of it that is, with the amount of cock up's you've mentioned in your posts and ever so eloquent take on the world.
As far as education is concerned, yours truly was educated at Bristol University, South Bank University and the London Open College.
.........and your educational credentials are.....?
Ummm...I dont want to get into this, but making judgments about someone's "logical" abilities and IQ level is quite an easy way to skirt around the real argument. And basic "Maths" too....
This gets even better. Blunkett forced to resign one evening, and the very next morning, before 10am, this happens:
Detaining foreign terrorism suspects without trial breaks human rights laws, the UK’s highest court has ruled.
In a blow to the government’s anti-terror measures, the House of Lords law lords ruled by an eight to one majority in favour of appeals by nine detainees.
Most of the men are being held in Belmarsh prison, south London.
The law lords said the “draconian” measures were incompatible with European human rights laws and the government must pay the appeal costs.
