Its an autobiography of Benazir Bhutto. And offcourse its completely biased, but how accurate is it? Has anyone even read it?

I read it a couple years ago...its basically an overly dramatic, sycophantic tribute to her father. At some points its absolutely laughable...if I remember correctly, she compares her father to Imam Hussein, calling his execution the Karbala of our age. Needless to say, she never so much as hints at the rampant corruption of the ZAB administration...reading the book, you'd think it was like Pakistan's golden era.

LoL i know thats what it sounds like and I havent really lived in pakistan for long so i dont even know what is right and what shes making up. She says her fathers a saint and how when he died miraclous things started happening and people were praying with the dirt from his grave on their tounge. You would think a well educated ex-PM of pakistan would be a bit more sensible. I guess i should treat it as a fiction.

Well her fathers death was a tragedy in my opinion..a judicial murder. Still the book is a good insight into the Bhutto mindset, arrogance mixed with flashes of brillinat political cunning.

I would suggest that you read a book called "The Terrorist Prince" to find out more about the Bhuttos. It is written by a guy who founded "Alzufikar" with Murtaza Bhutto and gives an alternative viewpoint to "Daughter of the East".

One thing you must remember is that this book was written way before Benazir's infamous rule of 93 where she lost alot of die hard supporters who had faith in her because of her father...
