hey so any folks on here date? if so what do u do? do u ask out or get asked out? do u date outside of your religion, ethnicity? when do u kiss? when do u tell your parents? how does the proposal thing happen? details por favor, i want to know?

Dude, don’t you know how the women around here are. You’re not even allowed to ask this question here. :nono:

I date every week, once a week. Just like we change clothes, one should also change partners.

Re: dating? do u do it?

sometimes he asks me out. sometimes i ask him.
but on every date kids go with us.

lol

Re: dating? do u do it?

^ thats soo cute!

Re: dating? do u do it?

ok so no pakis date apparently!!!

They only 'date' after marriage:D

lol.... very nice way to put it!

Re: dating? do u do it?

Some Pakistanis do date but majority do not.

The ones who do usually meet someone, date for a couple of years or less even and then tell their parents...following which is a huge Bollywood scene where the parents dont agree and the children are being torn to shreds in the process...then magically everyone realizes that bachon ki khushi mein hi sabki khushi hai and all is well...until we get to the nikah and the evil MIL bares her teeth and asks for a car, furniture, cash and medical insurance in jehez and the larki valey demand $500,000 in Mehr.

Thats how we do.

:)

Re: dating? do u do it?

^lol. me and hubby dated for quite a while. he had told his dad pretty early on in our relationship, i didnt tell my parents for a very long time. when i finally told them, my father objected, claiming i was too young (dads are so silly, i was 21 at the time and wasnt thinking of getting married till i was done with college). so we got married when i turned 23.

that whole bollywood drama thing is so overrated unless there is some serious problem like they wont be able to support themselves, just let the kids do their thing!

lol but when you get married than do you tell your husband that how many guys you dated

You forgot just one teeny tiny detail. Sometimes the MIL won’t just stop at the demand for a huge jahez. She might vow to herself that her sole mission in life is to wreak havoc in the bahu’s life. This stems from the “bahu meri pasand ki nahin thi, :snooty:” attitude. In the absence of her son, she’ll throw dagger-like looks at bahu and hurl cutting remarks at her. And in front of her son, she’ll play the well-meaning victim. MIL wants to hone her acting skills in case Bollywood calls her up and decides to cast her in the new drama serial “Saas Se Bura Koi Nahin.” LOL.

**** All in good humor Disclaimer. There are always 2 sides to a story

Re: dating? do u do it?

I've dated my other half for years, he was outside my ethnicity (and religion at that point but not now), I told my Dad right from the start but not my Mum cos she's quite religious and I thought she might freak out. My Dad was fine with it, never asked me to stop seeing him (maybe cos I'm quite stubborn as well + he knew I prob would have carried on regardless cos I hate being told what to do). Didn't tell my Mum till she started asking me what my plans were regarding getting married etc, she didn't take it too bad tbh, think she had kinda worked out what was going on by that point cos every time she would mention some random person's 'gorgeous' son looking for a girl I would just sit there looking bored and uninterested..

Why do boys not believe this ever happens lol

I have been on and off with my hubby to be since we were 13! But we called it official 3 years ago, we both are 20 and 21 so no getting married now since we both are in college. And he told his parents within weeks, and he kept asking his mom to ask for my hand, which she already did, but my dad thinks its too early. So I guess we’ll be dating for a while before we can inshAllah get married.

who said this ?

Re: dating? do u do it?

I do not like dating at all.I do not have time to waste.

I am just like Shahid Afridi.I do not watch who is my `rival' on the other end but simply go out and finish it off in style !!!

i have a confirmed date in Milan/Venice in Nov, and i will try to kiss - if got not resistance....then probably ding-dong too ;)

My biggest regret ov my lyf is "I neva been to a Date n neva 've been asked by sumone to go out wid :( :( "

khair i think i will live wid this regret wid all ov my lyf :(

It was a joke:smack:

Some people date, some people don’t. Each to their own.
