what's you're definition of a psychopathic person? by that person's hurtful actions or is the person the type that has some psychological disorder but doesn't cause harm to others?

I'm just saying in general if a person is psycopath. So for ease of use everyone can use their own definition wat they consider a psychopath

That's cool.

For clarification: clinical psychologists deal with all the same disorders. The only difference is that they don't go the drug route but believe in cognitive/behavioural/emotional therapy. Though, for major disorders, I am sure some clients are prescribed drugs, in addition to therapy.

Interestingly enough, I have a research paper, for a tiny bit of which, I am comparing drug usage for a specific disorder with psychotherapy. Like you said, it is pretty evident that if one stops taking the drug, the symptoms come right back. With a psychotherapeutic approach (depending on what disorder it is), it may go away for good.

Often people that say they were 'seeing' a psycho have serious complexes or issues of their own. Such people love playing victim and pointing fingers at others without realizing it could very well be their own attitude and for a change they could be at fault. Bet the other person thinks the same about them too!

no comments my dear :) give it some time and meet outside of the virtual world and you shall see for yourself :) Once a psycho, always a psycho. I know, I knew one for 4 years, and his signs and symptoms appeared after the 3rd year, that too after we met a few times :)

libran, people dont "change," realistically it is a very slim chance to change someone especially if someone has mental issues. For the most part we are who we are! if you know someone is a certain way and is not going to be compatible with you or will be the person for you in the long run then I say that you need to move on. Express your concerns to that person first and then go from there!

libranrulz, even people that are considered "normal" have a hard time making relationships work so if a person dates a psychopath, especially one that has anger issues along with their psychological disorder, I really wouldn't take a chance with this. they need to see a professional and get help.

although the volatile, rocky relationship with a person like that might be exciting in the beginning, it wouldn't be a stable relationship or a healthy one until they recognize that they do have a problem and see a therapist for the sake of the relationship and for the person he/she is dating.
