I don't think it's low at all. If men try and swoon us by buying expensive things just so they can get what they want, it's only fair to play their game and be nonplussed when they do buy you something nice. Or if your hungry, then to eat and leave.
No need to get serious. Men are never serious when they go around breaking our hearts so why is every woman here getting so offended?

Why does a woman have to go around engaging in silly behavior, just because guys do it? And how do you know every guy is just playing around when he breaks hearts?
Why the need to even play games to prove that one gender is superior than the other? THAT IMO is pathetic.
