pak-one, can you share some background? How long have you guys been married and do you have any kids?

I’ve been married 14 years and I too have a wife who is on call one weekend a month and one night a week, it gets pretty hectic with a 5 year old too.

We make time to be together, but all of us as a family. We do four 8-9 day vacations a year and that is a big help as far as our sanity but we do things together on a daily basis, we cook together, we clean together, we take care of the little one together and when she’s down for the night, we hang out, watch movies, play games, chat. Married life seems to go in cycles, there are ups and downs.

Been married for about 1.5 years, no kids.

How are you guys able to do 4 vacations a year? Coordinating one vacation has been a challenge. I think sharing the errands is a great idea.

I’m definitely looking forward to next weekend – a quick getaway.
