Can anyone let me know if they know of any really good darzi and kaam walas in Islamabad and Rawalpindi (or surrounding areas). I dont mind travelling a bit further afield for really, really good people.
Also, I have some Western dress designs and kaftans that I want to get made up in Pakistan and maybe a pair of skinny trousers and wondered if there was any people in Pakistan who may be able to re-create these western clothes for me.
I’ve heard that there are good tailors in Islamabad who can make a Ted Baker style suit for around £80 but I have lost contact details of the lady who told me that.
Re: Darzi and kaam wala in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi area?
Well I know a person in rawalpindi who can reproduce anything n sumtimes even better n neat than the actual one...I came across him by chance and was amazed to see his creativity n neatness in his work, he only need exposure.
but he is located in a little difficult place to visit tht many ppl might not even know...tench bazar. I can giv u his details if u want.
Re: Darzi and kaam wala in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi area?
Well he is located in Tench bazar, near 22 no. chungi or CMH. If u go from CMH side then in the bazar go straight n thr comes a dispencry chowk near it u can ask abt kerhai wali gali, thr r alot of shops for tht but this man name..shakeel, shop name is mudassar zari house....is located in the last gali(of kerhai walas), on right side of the road. just go to tht man in the whole market.
If it seems difficult then another option is visit the laces n beads shops in moti bazar thr u may find sum women purchasing tht stuff for emroidery n they do it at homes. They r also very skilled. I wont recommend kamran market for this bcz thr all just copy eachother n nothing special. And in moti bazar also only mohsin sons is the name of trust, work of others just 2 no usually, no guarantee of material n not tht neatness.

WHat kind a clothes does this guy make? Is he able to copy any designer dress, if a picture is shown
And what is his price range
Re: Darzi and kaam wala in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi area?
Well why i mentioned him??? bcz his work is very fine n neat. He can copy anything frm the picture. His price range is not tht much, very reasonable. He even asks u to come n visit him when he starts the work n then do check the work at all stages.

Thanks so much in advance.
I don't think a tailor could do this. Personally you're better off with sticking to Western clothes from England :)
