Darren Gough

Assalamoalaikum,

goughie @ 34 is still doing a gr8 job for england in the odi form of the game, since his retirement from test cricket i don’t think his knee hasn’t held up as he claimed it wouldn’t if he continued playing test cricket cos the 5 day “strain” would get to him, i feel he should reverse his decision, he can still play @ test level, provided hogie’, harmi’ and co underperform and he get’s in.

i mean he thinks a 5 day game will take it’s toll on him but when england play almost back to back odi’s just like againt zimbabawe even that should hypothetically speaking turn the heat on goughie’s knee and fitness level yet he still pulls through!!!

personally i like goughie, he’s gr8, i’ve always admired him as a bowler, outside pakistan he’s my favourite bowler still, in his prime he could vary his pace and line with percision and he still shows’ his spark now and den in the odi’s.

what do u guys think?

dunno much about him.but he was a good bowler back in 1999 and 2000 but now he doesn't have that sort of bowling.he now goes for alot of runs.

He used to be good alrounder but his knee injery bring him down, give poor guy one more year.

i think he was a good bowler the knee injury and he used to bat good also....now i think some other bowler should replace him like jones or anderson....

constitency is big problem for english crickets overseas. Darren is wonderful but can not be as good as Harmison.
