I don’t really think it’s the word that matter MQ..it’s who it’s coming from. Even a simple greeting from the one I love would make me . And any ol stud callin me hunny bun and sugar lips just won’t do it for me.

thats true connie. But thats my point, that when endearments are used so freely - they lose their meanings. And what Im saying is people have started to use these words without the special feelings that come with them.

Sabelia-- -I often just call my friends by their names. But yes I do use these endearments for a very select few. When Im really touched or something.

My sweet Muslim_barbie no one is making fun here. One usually uses these salutations (dolly, love, chick, in M_M’s case petal) as adjectives. Please don’t exile me. You are special to me, very special.

i rather be called by my real name.. atleast i usually do that.. i dunno.. i never get around to call anyone honey, dear, or sweetie etc... not even my hubby .... ab i dunno if he likes it or not.. thats the way it is !

I tend to use 'jaan' sarcastically at times. BUt yeah otherwise, buzzwords as u call them are in my vocab. Even so, I think with people I love, and also use them and a lot more with, can pretty much filter out the sincerity/love behind them.

I dont think words lose their meaning. Anything can become meaningless to a person. It doesnt depend on being overused or anything it depends on the mindset. I personally feel buzzwords arent :P buzzwords. They encourage familiarity with more and more people.

Not saying that I go around saying 'honey' and 'sweeti' to all, but even so.
