Darker armpits

So what one can do to make armpits look more clean. I mean the skin under armpits is darker than the rest of your body color. This could be because of sweating and rubbing effect. So what is the remedy for it? Is there any product that people in general or showbiz people use? Any useful desi totka for it?

this dark pigmentation is a common thing among ppl of color (as docs may say)

^^ mine isnt. But then again I don't shave but rather trim it very close. Its almost like shaving.

^ For a looooooooong tiem I used to sit by my bed on my knees, carpeting and all.. i dint notice/care that they were ashy and dark, butsince i started sitting in a chair like a normal person, the color is somewhat faded..

so true, Kami bhai.
I don’t think there 's any remedy for the dark color Smooth, particularly if its a case of pigmentation but it can also be due to the dense growth of hair in that area which I believe can be made a tad bit lighter by waxing. Electrolysis is another way or lets say a permanent form of hair removal but it can be pricey.

I saw an advert on TV yesterday for the Dove cream deodorant
stick...apparently that is supposed to help soften and lighten dark under arms....

Hair roots have pigment which is broken when the hair is pulled out or cut, so it's normal to have that area darker where you regularly remove hair. However, using soaps or lotions which contain Salicyclic acid helps lighten the skin.

Sweating is one source of it, since its a place where moisture can easily collect, it might be a fungus, so go check it out with your doctor.

Yeah i know it leaves white marks but i do think it helps lighten dark under arms not drastically but it does a bit…i wax my under arms so they are pretty okay anyway. But i have very fair legs and my knees are a lot darker in comparison…that’s what bothers me the most!
