Hmm. What about someone like Cameron Diaz, she has quite finely shaped lips and they're not that big. She looks better with brighter lipsticks though

I'd prefer a matt red than a creamy red tbh, it flatters the skin more. Russian red is a nice rich red but it's not a dark red either. I prefer Ruby Woo kinda colours :/
