By the way Voldemort is also known as Dark Lord but ardent LOTR and HP fan will know what you mean. I will pick Voldemort as his characterization is more powerful than Sauron's

^ Just to clear the confusion Barbie. Because for some people Voldemort is more popular than Sauron so they know him as Dark Lord.

I think the better villian is Sauron as he got people to dig up foul/scary creatures from the ground, that is kind of cool. He-who-must-not-be-named has Lucius Malfoy! I mean, theres no real comparison is there?

voldemort - you cant say his name, he cut his soul into 7 pieces, his best friend is a snake, he has a team of death eaters, and he ruled the wizarding world for a LONG time

^ Shakal tu kisi ki dekhi hee nahi. Maybe we will get to see Voldemort's portrayal in HP 4 movie but the way it was written Sauron was scarier. Voldemort was just like a normal human being.
