Dark Circles

So I have some really visible and dark under eye cirles. To a point where they have started to annoy me. People now actually ask me if I was up all night and have I cried etc. etc. Not good. :frowning:

I don’t have a very steady sleeping plan. Normally I have 6-7 hours of sleep. But it varies if I’m busy or anything. Then it’s shorter. I don’t eat red meat. I drink LOADS of water.

I need some ideas to make them go away. I’m not a real fanatic about taking care of myself and everything and I don’t know a thing about beauty/skin care products. But you need to help me.

Thank you.

Re: Dark Circles

do you think that it's because of allergies, since you mentioned that people think you're crying, so blood shot eyes, dark circles sometime are an indication of that.

Re: Dark Circles

I don't think I have blood shot eyes. They do look tired though. All the time.

Also I have a severe dust allergy but I take medication for that. And I know it's not because of that. Or so my doc told =D

Re: Dark Circles

Why not try a light concealer to lighten and brighten underneath the area? Also, I swear by Visine. I get dry and red eyes from wearing contacts or allergies and Visine makes them really bright and sparkly, lol. Also, try a concealer. If you're new to concealers, try the one by Garnier, it's a rollerball and it works great because it's very lightweight and easy to apply. It comes in one color, which is the only downside.

BUT if you want a really good match, I suggest going to MAC or Sephora and getting matched up. At MAC, you can use the Studio Finish concealer (use your finger to apply a thin layer or it will look cakey) or go to Sephora and get matched up with a Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown concealer. In addition to this, also use Visine to make your eyes bright. Try wearing mascara as that really can open the eyes.

Re: Dark Circles

Be sure to apply sunscreen before going out, even if it's for just 20 minutes (it should be at least 30spf). I've read that placing sliced potatoes on your under eye area for 10-15 minutes helps; haven't personally tried it. Hmm, oh sliced cool cucumbers and cooled teabags (caffeinated, not the herbal kind) will also do the trick. If it's something more serious then maybe see a dermatologist? There's creams, fillers, all kinds of things out there people are using! Good luck :)

the products I’ve tried are:

I wasnt a fan of this product. I didn’t see any results.

I’m using this product now, and I LOVE it and could see a big difference.

**Avene Eye Contour Cream: ** http://www.aveneusa.com/ystheal-eye-contour-cream/

Re: Dark Circles

Thank you Nikki bhabhi.

Girls I really appreciate your inputs. But I would want some desi advice for it too. To tell you the truth, I don't even know how to put on make up. =(

Also I think its more of an health related problem than a fashion problem.

Also @Afshi, I might give the Lotus eye Gel a go!

Re: Dark Circles

i have dark under eye circles too.. but ever since i've finished school i've noticed it has improved.. maybe because i'm not as stressed and i'm getting more sleep.. try to add half an hour of extra sleep, it may make the difference. i tried eye creams and roller balls but they really made no difference.

try using vitamin e oil under your eye (lightly tap it on the area)

i also find that vitamin c helps make your skin look fresh.. try changing your diet as well.. eat more dark green vegetables like broccoli and spinach and also more nuts

good luck :)
