Besides getting bad reviews, I on the other hand thought this movie was okay…
A dark image of a super hero hasn’t been seen till Tim Burton made Batman. Dare Devil was wonderfully played by Ben. Collin Farrell did a great job as Bullseye. Electra also played great by whats her face…
Michael Clark Duncan could have done a better job! CGI was done a lot better than what we saw in Spiderman!
I think the movie didnt get rave reviews just because ‘Dare Devil’ isnt one of the popular super heros of Marvel! I can see a sequel in the making though!
Please do not read further if you havent seen the movie!!!
The concept for ‘Dare Devil’ to be a super hero by serving justice by killing the bad guys was new! And how electra a main charecter dies was unique too! I think how the script put a little too much stress on the charecters ethinicty. How the had to mention that DD was of Irish back ground and how Kingpin was raised in the bronx. Or how Electra was greek!
The move was alright....very dark...certainly not for kids! Spiderman was a million times better. Ben just didn't do it for me, although he looks mega-hot in this movie.
Bull's Eye was a good character though....but what a silly ending with him.
Marvel is doing much better in terms of making the movies, I always felt Marvel characters overall were better than DC characters but suffered from bad production e.g. the Fantastic Four movie that was so bad that it was never released, although u can get bootlegs of them. or the illfated Captain America or Punisher movies that truly went no where. (btw Punisher kinda also served justice by killing the badguys)
Daredevil is actually not a "lesser known" comic book character for marvel. It had surpassed the all time leader spiderman several times.
With the constraints present, the studio did an okay job with the movie, it was not phenomenal, but seeing a comicbook into a movie and even done decent is pretty good.
Now with Xmen2 coming out and the Hulk to follow, marvel is on a roll. I hope they go on to make avengers movies, that would rock.
I personally liked the movie, its not going to be in my all time fav lists but I liked it anyways.
the movie going public kinda proved the reviewers wrong. Heck my view of reviewers has always been.. if i dont see myself hanging out with them, why should I take their advise on what to listen to or what to watch.
I still recall the rolling stones review of phil collins album "but serilsuly' where theyt completely dissed him, only to be all on the collins bandwagon when the album started selling liek crazy.

I agree, I also don't go by what reviewers say about a film. There is no point, since each person generally has their own idea of what a "good" movie is to them. Yes, and Rolling Stones magazine are full of hypocrites.
