Lampooning and and insulting a whole country and its people based on the actions of an independent newspaper is foolish. It is no better than using the terrorist brush on a whole religion based on the actions of a few.

OK it was insulting et al, but I wonder how many of you trigger-happy jihadis actually understand the cartoons at all.
The greatest ally of the "ummah", indeed all of humanity at the moment is this precarious luxury of free speech, by trying to shut everyone up we are shooting ourselves in the foot. This way the respective governments will be able to lobby their own agendas with respects to everything, things that may perhaps directly affect you as an individual - and nothing will be done about it because free speech (or whatever there is left of it) will be gone.
this was (IMO) exponentially exaggerated to get a response. The players are in the directors hands. Lets not be so obviously predictable?

i have forgiven the danes therefore i am not going to go for offensive display cards. It is rather to poke fun at danes and their stupidness. We Cdns like to do that.
