Congratulations to Danish Kaneria for breaking the 200 wicket mark. He has been consistent and one of the hard working bowlers for Pakistan. His contributions for Pakistan Cricket are piling up from 3rd Test against India to England Series in 2005. He has regularly raised his game. Rarely been given the chance to perform on ODI level, Kaneria still made his mark for Pakistan whose bowling line up is dominated by fast bowlers that take major lime light. Passion, determination and hard work. This is Kaneria. May he achieve many more milestones for Pakistan.
^ on top of that..he has recently somewhat improved his batting a bit as well…so he’s not a bunny anymore. Anyone who’s seen kaneria batting at the start of his career would know what I’m talking about. Definetly a very hard working cricketer:k:

Comparing his stats to other Pakistani spinners, he isn't that bad now, is he? But now Kaneria has to perform well consistently since he got competition. Any way, congrats to Kaneria.

Solution is to drop him for 1-2 series and play Rahman. His complacency will be over and his pants will on fire. We saw that with Irfan, Zaheer and Harbhajan.
The problem with Kaneria is that he has very little control of the length which he bowls. Which is very important for a spinner. Kaneria either bowls to short or too full way too often, which makes it easier for the batsmen to hit him for runs...which also is the cause that makes him struggle and go for too many runs in ODI's. Whenever he has bowled on the right length, he has been unplayable.
Rehman seems to be a good spinner, but I believe he needs a little more variety. An arm ball and a quicker delivery added to his arsenal would definetly make him a much better and complete bowler.

hes the best spinner we've got. his figures are impressive and impressive over a sustained period. best of all whether hes successful or not you never get the feeling that hes lacking in motivation. he will get even better with time hopefully.
