Guys, i made this from my Baking With Julia cookbook and it turned out amazing. I used a homemade strawberry filling as well cream cheese filling. It was a lot of work to make the pastry but sooo well worth it. Looked and tasted like i bought it from a bakery. Here is a pic and the recipe somene listed online. I cant wait to try other things from the book.

Yeah Nimko its the same recipe except that someone did the job of typing it all out. It was wayyyy better in terms of taste and smell than the picture can do justice. THis was right out of hte oven hence on the foil. I didnt wnat to risk hubby eating it all without letting me take a pic of it :D

^, i used the berry jam filling and used strawberries as the berry of my choice. And the cream cheese filling is the one mentioned by a reviewer in the reviews.

Oh My GOD - that looks delicious Ira - i buy the shop bought and we have it with custard but homemade stuff beats anything shop bought.
The recipe looks long - i think i will lose my patience following it...welldone you!
