“Mein Allah ka bahut shukarguzaar hoon kay us nay mujhay Pakistan ki numaindagi ka mauqa diya”

Just heard his interview on Radio Pakistan, and he was repeatedly using a reference to Allah as who had enabled him to get 12 wickets, and who had blessed him etc. I know it was diplomacy on his part…but just something I found interesting

Yeah thats the problem. If he would start saying: " I thank my Indian God(ess)!" U know what will happen then.
Especially those psycho Mullahs will treat him like piece of....

"kaisay na karta usko main pyar, uski haseen main sukh thay hazaar, bichar gayay hum dukh ki hay baat"

Its not interesting but very sad indeed a person who is not a muslim had to say what muslims say while thanking there God just because he was scared sad state of affairs indeed

To err is human and to keep on doing so is essentially me

Fantastic, I am not sure that he was saying Allah because he was scared. I think it was because he lives in an enviornment where the word Allah is used all the time and he has probably got used to saying it as well.

Hmmm ehsan think again

“kaisay na karta usko main pyar, uski haseen main sukh thay hazaar, bichar gayay hum dukh ki hay baat”

hmmmmmmmmm well it may b he is just saying allah instead of the hindu god name

i mean some times dont we say god instead of allah ?? that doesnt mean we r talking about a chritian god or some thing does it ???

Agree with ehsan.

The only reason i posted it was because he used it repeatedly...and the first thought in my mind was how easily you can get segregated into a culture and adopt the terminologys. Same goes for muslims who live in the west, and routinely refer to Allah as God. Same deal.

I just found it interesting. And I dont think he would have been persecuted if he had said "Bhagwan" instead of Allah. From what I have read, hes a team favorite. Everyoone on the team loves him. Hes a very nice and gentle person.

Ehsan is right…I personally know a few Pakistani Hindus who use words like InshaAllah and MashaAllah in their conversation, and they are not even living in Pakistan anymore, so they don’t have to fear anyone.

I don’t want to achieve immortality through my work… I want to achieve it through not dying.

i once heard yousuff youhanna too
using similar words like "allah ka karam hai"
