Last night had to visit the hospital
reached there around 10:30 PM, went to park the car, saw the instructions , telling me to Go right ahead , and pay when I go out
Fine … thats how it usually is
So I parked - went inside, came out after about 3 hours, it was 1:30 freeeeeeking o clock in the night, bitterly cold, now I calmly drive to the exit, where a closer look at the parking meter tells me that it would take the EXACT change for $7.00, NO there was no slot to swipe my card … It would only take COINS
as I didn’t have any change with me, I was stuck
I backed - parked the car again and started looking for some ATM to get cash
could see none. Went to the reception at the hospital and explained to them my pathetic state, they said there was no other way - I needed cash to get out.
they told me to find an ATM - They didn’t know the exact location of the nearest one and just told me to go outside and slip / slide / splash my way all over King street, at 2:00 AM in the night, looking for one
I went this way - no ATM
I went that way - no ATM
Then I spotted a 7-11 , went inside, there was an ATM
but it wont accept my card - for some weird reason
went to the counter and asked the guy if he could give me some cash back
no - its not their policy
now what
Walked outside - took a cab - went home
went back to the hospital this morning via bus - with EXACT CHANGE in my pocket - drove home in my car
What a joke
Why cant they simplify things by installing an ATM at the hospital
or a card swipe machine at the parking exit

which my son has very conveniently shortened to Kichloo
smallish city - but not THAT small that they cant have enough ATMs
hahahahaha, dude write to city council tell them the century we're living in and then send an email to RIM in waterloo and they'll take care of the problem for you.
was this Grand River Hospital? I don't remember parking being such a mess there though...

For me - stuck outside in the parking lot at 2:00 in the night without any change in the pocket and no ATM in side - is as close to a mess as it can get
