But for once i’ve been out and failed to find something. Ussually i’m able to track down anything but after many searches both online and out on the streets… i have yet to find this particual item.
Some years ago when I first came to Britian I bought with me from Rawalpindi a very nice little Jinnah cap. It’s a small grey furry hat made famous by Mohammed Ali Jinnah who is most famous person who wore it.
I dont like the tall karakul caps as worn by many Ulema, those are too tall. The typical Jinnah cap is no more than 4 inches at its peak.
But despite having looked everywhere in Birmingham for one I cant find it!
Does anyone know where could get one in the UK?
I cant believe in a City like Birmingham theres no-where that does one.
I’ve tried Islamic shops and common Bazaars all in vain. At this time of year i thought i stand the best chance of obtaining one.
Does anyone know where i can get one i’m going mad for one….. it does not have to be furry i’ll settle for a felt or even a cotton peaked version… but surely theres got to be one somewhere!
I’ve asked some friends in Bradford and Manchester to find me one i’ll willingly pay a handsome price for so iconic an item.
Looks like i’ll have to… I cant believe htier so rare in the UK.
I dont think i’ll get them on time from Pakistan though… sure i’d pay a lot to get someone to fetch me one or even order one… but it could be some time before i see it… hence it’s a lot easire if i can find one here.
If all else fails i could just pick another one up when i next fly home… it’s just annoying nobody seems to have them over here.
Now you know how us ladies feel when we have our heart set on a particular outfit that we truly madly deeply want and just can't live without having it.
Always look for opportunities and at the half filled portion of the glass.
It is a classic from Sales Management books.
A pessimist sales person was sent to an island to sell shoes. He went there and sent a letter to boss saying " No potential here . Nobody wears shoes"
So company called him back then an optimist sales person was sent to the same island a few months later , he went there and sent a letter to his boss and said " Lot of potential here . Nobody wears shoes."
